Our ‘Esperanza’ (Hope) exhibition opening night was everything we hoped it would be!
The weather held fast for us and the exhibition space was filled with admiring fans. (We hope!) Many came from far-a-field to see our new art on offer and there was barely space to get around.
Again, we have new members and our old favourites in our group, eager to share their latest work.
And what work it is: we have art in every medium, paintings, photographs, sculptures, ceramics, installations to get you wondering. We even have gifts and cards to take away with you.
Wow, what an atmosphere there was.
So many of our friends chatting and enjoying the work.
Emma Plunkett, our incredibly hard-working and inspirational Chair says: “I feel there is a massive congratulations due to all our members on creating the best exhibition yet – new members are making us look even more exciting and old members are improving in ways of development, delivery, confidence and viability of their work! It’s so much fun to play with you all. Well done!”

Music and arty friends
We were very pleased to see our dear friends ‘traveling artists and culinary explorers’ Wijnand Boon and Thysa Zevenbergern from Polopos. Members of the ANA art group had a memorable day in the summer showing their work in a pop-up ‘art walk’ organised by Wynand and Thysa in their beautiful village of Polopos. Here they are posing with Seb and their purchases.
See what they are up to here:
And we were thrilled to have the most sublime classical music from The Chamber Players to offset the evening beautifully.
Nick Tasker on the oboe said, ” We had fun, even though we could hardly hear ourselves some of the time.”
A big thank-you to them all.
